1. The Useless Hotline 1.Describe both the general content that the podcast series as a whole covers, and what the specific themes and angle of this particular episode are.

The podcast is called 'The Useless Hotline' and is presented by two friends, Max and George. The premis of the podcast is that it's set up as an office. Max and George are the employees and sometimes have a special guest who is 'interviewing' for a job in the office. The main portion of the podcast is filled with viewers of their tiktok accounts sending in anonymous messages which get printed out in the studio or voice notes which they listen to on a phone in the studio and give advice, usually it's not so great advice but they try.

The episode I'll be focusing on is titled, 'Max Balegde and George Clarkey talk party with Harry Styles, dating convicts & visiting the clinic'. There is no specific theme to this episode biut they tend to give bad advice throughout all episodes.

2.What does the introduction consist of? Is it broken in to segments? Are “teasers” for future parts used? Are large sections of speech broken up in any way? If so, using what?

The episode starts with an animation that states 'The useless hotline' with a phone ringing in the background. Max and George then proceed to introduce themselves and the podcast, it's the same scripted intro for every episode.

3.How many people were involved in the making of this show? Is/are there a presenter(s)? If so, how much presenting do they do? What other roles did those involved in making it take? The podcast has two presenters, Max and George. They occasionally have a special guest on to interview. Max and George make it clear in numerous episodes that their producer is sat behind the camera by speaking to him. There are also numerous camera angles so I presume there must be people behind the camera.

4.Is it serious, humorous, of both? Is it primarily entertaining or informative? Do conversations take the form of one-to-one interviews or group discussions? Are these more formal or informal? Are different contributors used in each episode? Is music used much? If so, what kind? This podcast is very humorous and informal. It is essentially two friends messing around with each other and giving bad advice, hence the word 'useless' in the name. It is highly entertaining as they dish dirt on other celebs and bring up funny anecdotes that normal people wouldn't want to be shared on the internet. They sometimes have a guest on but this episode just focuses on Max and George. The only 'music' used which is more of a tune is a phone ringing at the start to introduce their animation.

5.What research would the maker(s) of this podcast had to undertake? How “research-heavy” is it? Who did the makers need access to in order to make it happen? The only research needed is on their guests which isn't really needed as the guests are Max and George's friends. No research is necessary as it's a podcast based on giving advice.

2.Saving Grace 1.Describe both the general content that the podcast series as a whole covers, and what the specific themes and angle of this particular episode are. The podcast is called 'Saving Grace' and is presented by Grace Barry, a TikTok star. Every episode features a new guest but it's treated as two friends having a chat instead of a formal interview. This may have something to do with the fact at alcohol is almost always involved.

The episode I'll be focusing on is titled, 'Max Balegde Plays Say It or Shot It, BAD S*x Stories & Rudest TikToker Revealed?! FULL PODCAST EP.1'. The episode follows no themes or angles, it's just two friends talking about their lives.

2.What does the introduction consist of? Is it broken in to segments? Are “teasers” for future parts used? Are large sections of speech broken up in any way? If so, using what? The introduction consists of an animation of the words 'Saving Grace' with Grace's voice in the background asking people to subscribe then stating that her podcast is available on YouTube, Apple Podcasts and Spotify. A halo is dropped on top of the letter 'G' hence the podcast name, 'Saving Grace'. It then moves onto the actual podcast with Grace introducing herself and welcoming everyone to the first episode. She then introduces her friend and special guest Max Balegde.

3.How many people were involved in the making of this show? Is/are there a presenter(s)? If so, how much presenting do they do? What other roles did those involved in making it take? The podcast is under the Fellas Studio which is owned by Callum Airey and Joshua Larkin, two YouTube stars. The Fellas Studio is home to quite a few podcasts presented by TikTok stars. The podcast has a producer who is not named and I'm presuming a few camera men as there are many camera angles. Grace is the only presenter of the show and is always joined by a guest or two, in this episode that guest is Max Balegde.

4.Is it serious, humorous, of both? Is it primarily entertaining or informative? Do conversations take the form of one-to-one interviews or group discussions? Are these more formal or informal? Are different contributors used in each episode? Is music used much? If so, what kind? This podcast is not serious in any shape or form. It's highly entertaining from speaking about TikTok gossip to the guest's personal lives and grace's crazy anecdotes. The episodes (including this one) are incredibly informal due to the fact that they almost always involve alcohol. Every episode features a new guest and the only music used is a slight jingle at the start and end.

5.What research would the maker(s) of this podcast had to undertake? How “research-heavy” is it? Who did the makers need access to in order to make it happen?

This podcast is not too research-heavy in my opinion, especially this episode because Max is her friend so no research needed. However, other episodes may require a tad bit of research as Grace doesn't know them personally and may need to look them up in order to ask questions/ chat about moments in their lives.

3.Internet Sensation 1.Describe both the general content that the podcast series as a whole covers, and what the specific themes and angle of this particular episode are. The podcast is called, 'Internet Sensation Podcast', and is presented by ImAllexx (Alex Elmslie). Every episode features a guest or two who are Alex's friends and it's either presented via discord so they're all recording audio and visuals themselves to send to Alex or it's recorded in Alex's podcast studio.

The episode I'll be touching on is called, 'Snapshoteye Has Gone Too Far and Mr Beast Is Evil - Episode #1'. This episode follows no themes or angles, it's just friends talking.

2.What does the introduction consist of? Is it broken in to segments? Are “teasers” for future parts used? Are large sections of speech broken up in any way? If so, using what? This episode if filmed in Alex's podcast studio. It opens up with him sat on a couch introducing the viewers to the podcast and then introducing his two friends and special guests, ArthurTV and Cam Kirkham. It includes no teasers or segments. Every episode follows the same outline.

3.How many people were involved in the making of this show? Is/are there a presenter(s)? If so, how much presenting do they do? What other roles did those involved in making it take? This podcast has one presenter, ImAllexx and he's always joined by a guest. After researching the podcast I can't find any information about a producer, camera men etc. There is a chance Alex does it all by himself as he states in one episode that the studio he films in is owned by him. The podcast used to be in a contract with Spotify but the contract has since ended meaning Alex has started to upload his podcast onto YouTube.

4.Is it serious, humorous, of both? Is it primarily entertaining or informative? Do conversations take the form of one-to-one interviews or group discussions? Are these more formal or informal? Are different contributors used in each episode? Is music used much? If so, what kind? This podcast is very humorous, entertaining and informal. Since leaving Spotify Alex has only had his friends as guests. The episodes consist of gossip and funny anecdotes, this episode in particular focuses on TikTok and YouTube drama as they're all involved in the community.

5.What research would the maker(s) of this podcast had to undertake? How “research-heavy” is it? Who did the makers need access to in order to make it happen?

This podcast requires little to no research. This is because all the guests are friends and the topics they speak about they are informed on. The only research necessary is more in depth detail of the situations being spoken about as verifying facts and not spreading rumors as they speak a lot on TikTok drama in this episode specifically and it's mentioned in other episodes.,
