1.interview and transcribing
This is recording the interview and then writing down every work spoken. It's vital as it's the first part of the process, without it you will fail. If something is wrong with the interview it needs to be sought out immediately to make other steps easier.

2.locating important parts
This is finding the key points in the interview to keep in when editing as if the video is too long people are less likely to watch. It's important that your key points are able to lure people in to reading the article but are also relevant to what you're reading about.

3.importing and cutting
This is importing the interview to adobe premier pro which is a video editing service. The next step is cutting the video down to the key points located in step two but only on one camera, I used the wide shot.

4.camera angles
This is importing the two other camera angles into the edited interview, camera one and two. It's important to flick between them to keep people interested, it's also crucial to show the interviewer nodding, smiling and agreeing with the interviewee as it shows engagement.

5.audio, colour and, effects
This is correcting the sound so it's crisp for the listener rather than low and monotone. It's also correcting the colour from being bland to lively. This is a crucial step as without it the video is less likely to receive engagement as it will not appeal to the naked eye. The effect I used was an introduction. bubble for Leigh which stated his name, Leigh Ellis, and his position, Chairperson of Nottingham Pride.

6.watermark, introduction and outro
This involved downloading a watermark and placing it on the entire clip so if it's used somewhere NEON will be credited. The introduction was a video that needed to be download and placed at the front of the video to tell people they're watching a NEON production. The outro was crediting the people who helped with creating the project.

7.Exporting and youtube
This is rendering the video, starting and finishing it at the exact moment you want. The video then needed to be exported onto the Nottingham College one drive. Once downloaded it was then uploaded onto youtube so people can access our work and it's able to be linked to our articles. Martyna uploaded her version of the interview to the NEON youtube channel.

Why is file management and housekeeping important?
Keeping it organised is vital to video editing as if you lose your way the project may fail, you may have to start over. It makes a less complex workspace and allows you to work efficiently.
